Stands was founded in 2014 in Israel by Roy Rosenfeld with a simple mission: to give people a cleaner, calmer web. We started out as the company behind Fair AdBlocker, building tools that put users in control of their online experience.
In 2024, we officially rebranded to Stands AdBlocker. While our name has changed to unite our products under a single identity, our core mission remains the same.
We believe users have the right to choose how they experience the web. By default, Stands blocks ads across the sites you visit — including the intrusive and harmful ones like malware, adware, and popups — so browsing stays fast and distraction-free. Not every website works the same way, so users can always choose to allow ads on specific sites they want to support.
We’re a small, fully remote team spread across two hemispheres — mostly developers who care deeply about getting the details right. We read every piece of user feedback we get, and we do our best to bring it into every update, staying close to what our users actually need.
